My name is Elizabeth, and my son Jamie is a nonverbal autistic boy. It seems like that defines him, only it doesn’t. It is easy to overlook Jamie- and misjudge him because he cannot use his voice to convey what he wants, what he thinks, or what he feels. This is my attempt to work past that. To allow people to see all the things I see–and love– about him. I am not an expert, I don’t know all there is to know about autism, parenting, or life, but I do know that Jamie has a lot to say, and perhaps by offering to be his voice, who he is will speak to you, too.
